En 2011, Thomas Corriveau réalise des images animées pour le spectacle Jusqu’au silence, un performance solo de sa soeur Sophie présentée à l’Agora de la danse de Montréal (chorégraphie et interprétation : Sophie Corriveau, récipiendaire du Prix de la danse de Montréal 2016, catégorie Interprète). Cinq ans plus tard, il puise dans ses propres animations et dans les images issues de la captation vidéo du spectacle afin de réaliser un film singulier. Cette nouvelle œuvre prolonge de façon éblouissante l’expérience du spectacle initial, proposant un récit éclaté et vibrant. Le frère et la sœur nous font plonger dans un univers intime et incongru, qui vacille entre stabilité et folie, imaginaire et vertige. Les extraits filmés proviennent du spectacle Jusqu’au silence de Sophie Corriveau, Agora de la danse, octobre 2011.

In 2011, Thomas Corriveau produced animated images for a solo performance entitled Jusqu’au silence, created by his sister Sophie and presented at the Agora de la danse in Montréal (choreography and interpretation : Sophie Corriveau, winner of the Prix Interprète, Prix de la danse de Montréal 2016). Five years later, he now combines some of his own animation with footage from the original show to create a singular animation film. This new work provides a stunning continuation to the experience of the initial performance, by taking it on a new fragmented and vibrant storyline.
